Testimonial: ...I have been meaning to write to tell you that the poolscape this summer has been breathtakingly beautiful. The two gingko trees anchor each corner and each tree has grown a foot this summer. The butterfly bushes along the fence provide just the right balance of openness and privacy, and the golden rudbeckia plants in front of the magenta butterfly bush (plus a few tomato and basil plants thrown in for good measure) were simply stunning.
I know I dragged my feet about the liriope, but you were right. Not convinced at the beginning of the summer, I planted zinnia seeds in between the liriope. Bob, the zinnias are now as tall as I am and the pinks, purples and oranges tie in every color around the pool. Absolutely awesome. So now I have the best of both worlds--tons of height and color (and butterflies and hummingbirds) in the summer with the zinnias, plus "winter interest" when the liriope will hold the fort until spring. And you hit another home run with the woolly thyme between the brick stepping squares.
I couldn't pry Tom out of the poolhouse all summer. So thank you for an amazing job. Gloria - Sept 2009
